Iliana

Beginning

BG info: hates the king. her village was destroyed by him. she was one of the few survivors because she was away at the time. schooling in another country. ironically, his country. is scorned by the survivors because she wasn't there when it happened. she is caught between a rock and a hard place. she just wants to rebuild her village but the villagers are angry and won't be pacified until the king is dead. so she sets of to do as the village wills. she goes to kill the king. with no professional training, she attempts to take the life of the king.

notes: So the bg is introduced by flashbacks from the main character who is briefly and subtly introduced.

1st climax

Story: When she goes to kill the king, she comes close, but is found just in time by the king's poisoner. Then, she is tried in private with only the king and his assassin. She is either to be convicted of attempting the life of the king regardless of reason and be sentenced to death, or, to her surprise, accept the task offered to her as a second chance. That is to learn to be a trained assassin, sworn to risk life and limb to serve the king as a disposable tool. Seeing this as a chance for her to live on so that she can find another chance to kill him, she accepts the job. and is trained under the king's assassin.

notes: the king and his assassin is introduced in the character. but more focus is placed on the interactions between the assassin and iliana. in this part, illiana's life and death plight is the foremost attraction, with some story reinforced when iliana displays her anger towards the king. the character of the king at this point has to take a backseat because the assassin is the lead man. *wink*

1st anticlimax

Story: So her life as an apprentice assassin begins. She gets use to life at the castle, meets new friends and adversaries while learning the art of killing.

notes: Her relationship with him builds up a little during this period. Here, there is brief description of her new life at the castle. A short "a day in the life of". She meets minor characters here. friends and foe recognition period comes into play. She learns more about the characters. so more insight on the two main leads while introducing new minor characters. also a bit of general knowledge for the "lessons" part. T_T (which means studying on my part)

Body (1)

Story: A new element is introduced to the story when another country's assassin attempts the life of the king's assassin. he turns out to be an old friend to the assassin. After entertaining his 'guest' who says a few "strange" things, the guest leaves. The king's assassin is visibly disturbed and discloses a bit of info to iliana. At this point, he becomes suddenly self-conscious of sharing info with her and distances himself from her.

Then a few minor events of harmful pranks directed towards iliana happens, prior to the king and the assassin deciding the put iliana through a test of trust and loyalty. (theres always one).

notes: events leading up to the next climax (which is the test). Story-related event, the other assassin popping up to give out info and move the story along. appearance of foreign, mysterious object plus sudden rise in harmful though minor events leading into a climax.

2nd climax

story: The test is carried out. By now, Iliana no longer bears much ill will towards the king, but still believes in waiting for her chance to kill him. so she plays along. she is halfway through the test, when she is attacked and almost killed. but she is saved by the assassin. the perpetrator leaves unharmed while iliana passes the test and helps her injured savior back to the castle.

notes: the king comes into play. his character is brought to the foreground for the most of this part while his assassin moves to the bg at first. the conflict is simple yet important as it reveals a glimpse of the assassin's relationship with iliana and the importance of her life. it is passed easily.

2nd anticlimax

story: Iliana and assassin talk to each other more and open up to each other. he tells her more about himself and the king. she begins to understand the situation better as the info start to click together. her training resumes and soon she is a full fledged assassin.

notes: more foreign objects begin to implode into the story. and everything starts to take a backseat. mostly speech and minor interactions to help move the story along.

Body (2)

story: Foreigners show up requesting the king hand over iliana. the king refuses and that sparks a war declaration. iliana asks why. her past is revealed to her. that she had been placed in that village to be hidden and protected. but the king says no more. She is left wondering why then had he destroyed the village. they are preparing for war while more mishaps happen to iliana.

notes: assume that all evidence point to the king being the culprit that destroyed the village.

3rd (final) climax

story: assassin against assassin, the king is killed and the whole story is thrown into disarray. it is revealed that the enemy is the one who destroyed the village to look for iliana. Iliana then kills the enemy. the assassin tells her the truth about that day and confesses to her. (I know. these men have the most impeccable timing)

notes: action plus story overload.

3rd anticlimax

story: as everything settles down, the true king appears and asks iliana to be his wife. that everything that had been done until now was to protect her. the assassin and the king had switched places when iliana came to kill the king. she was confused at first and angry. but after sorting it out, she agrees and becomes his wife and assassin.

notes: O_O bet you saw that coming! haha.

bg: Iliana was to be the king's wife. settled at birth by a fortune teller who foretold that the greatest assassin in history would be his wife. also, it was foretold that through her, the enemy country would be subdued and peace will reign in both countries. knowing that the enemy country, who loved bloodshed, would not like this, they hid the girl. at first, the king hated this girl because they went to great pains to hide the girl. but later he falls for her anyway. >_<

Conclusion

story: her village is rebuilt and they live happily ever after. the end.

notes: haha. iive got nothing to add..... hmm...... reminder to self. end it properly!!!!!
