Title: Nightmare 09012010

"Where am I?" were the first thoughts I had the moment I had consciousness.

I was sitting in my grandmother's living room.

It was dark with only the light from the prayer stand filling the room with a warm orange.

I was sitting on the black couch, staring at the blank T.V.

The only thing out of place, I noted, was a black telephone sitting under the window a few steps away.

I closed my eyes to try and figure how I got there.

Knowing that I was spending the night there, it wasn't all that strange to see the living room.

Maybe I had sleepwalked?

I jumped as the phone started ringing and a loud bang was heard at the door at the same time.

It took a moment to recover my senses while my body automatically swerved towards the door.

As soon as I opened the door, he pushed his way in, missing me by a few centimetres.

The phone was still ringing but I had decided to prioritize opening the door for the person who was banging impatiently at the door.

"Why don't you answer the phone?! Do you need an invitation?!" He bellowed as he picked up the phone.

His tone changed as he answered the call,

in wich no information about it shall be revealed.

His face was normal, he talked cheerfully and even laughed a few times.

During this time, I closed the door and walked back to the living room.

However, as soon as he put down the phone, his mask dropped to reveal that face of anger and possibly hatred.

"Hey."

He began, and I knew I was going to have to become his target for anger tonight.

"That paper you did yesterday, Was it the only paper you did this whole holiday?"

He asked, glaring at me as if he was interrogating a criminal.

I nodded.

That was all it took. He flew into a rage and shouted at me,

"The WHOLE holiday you only did ONE paper?! You are going to get your results in three days right?!"

I froze. At least, I was, mentally. My physical frame shook slightly as I held back tears that threatened to spill out. Fear took control of me then as I fought back the primitive urge to flee and fight.

For one, if I fought, I can only imagine the amount of damage I would sustain.

For two, If I flee, he would become even more angry...

However, all logic and thoughts flew out the window when he took a step closer to me, looking like he had killer intentions.

I immediately bolted, fear taking over. Tears flowed hotly down my cheeks as I gasped for breath in between quiet sobs.

As I ran, somewhere at the back of my mind, I noticed that my surroundings were fading away.

As I calmed down, I noticed I had stepped into total darkness.

And I woke up.

Tears were sitting on the edge of my eyes, my body was shaking.

I knew I was worried, but I didn't expect it to get this bad.

I cried a little.

Then decided to go back to sleep.
